Project 52 : 50/52

Adventure

Ryan got his bike for his 3rd b'day.  His birthday is so close to Christmas that we have to think in advance of presents that he may grow into 6 months down the track rather than only get him both birthday and Christmas presents that suit him for his age and capabilities at that time.

His bike is rather heavy and at first he didn't have quite enough leg strength to push the bike around and needed to learn the push-and-pull required for getting those pedals around.  We have kept at it over the year and he has really improved of late.  He is happy to cruise around rather than speed and I don't think we'll be getting the training wheels off in the hurry, but I'm in no rush to force him and he will move things along in his own time.

When we first go out on the bike, he can be a little slow to start but once those muscles get going and the muscle memory kicks in, his confidence grows and he is happy to explore the park or place that we are at.  He'll stick close to me (or dad) and loves to see us encourage him and when we have those stupid proud grins that parents wear when their children and doing well :)
